Russians launch missile attack on Kharkiv

The Russians have attacked Kharkiv on the morning of 28 December, and the authorities have called on residents to stay in shelters.

Details: Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, clarified that the Russians had launched a missile attack on Kharkiv and that units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were already on their way.

An air-raid siren was sounded at 09:02 in Kharkiv and across the oblast. 

Air-raid sirens were also sounded in a number of eastern and central oblasts of Ukraine within a few minutes.

Air-raid sirens signal the threat of missile strikes. Residents of oblasts where sirens have been sounded are advised to retreat to shelters.
