Additional geolocation data dated 29 October indicates that Ukrainian forces have advanced slightly to the west of Robotyne in the west of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed that the Defence Forces are continuing their offensive operations near Bakhmut and offensive operations on the Melitopol front.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that Russian troops near Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, have "significantly reinforced their group" and switched from defence to "active operations".

However, ISW is currently unable to verify significant changes in the composition of Russian forces near Bakhmut, the report reads.

Meanwhile, Russian military bloggers claim that positional battles continue northwest of Bakhmut near Berkhivka (on the northwestern outskirts of Bakhmut), Vasiukivka (12 km north of Bakhmut) and Orikhovo-Vasylivka (10 km northwest of Bakhmut).
