Ukrainian defenders kill 860 more invaders and destroy 36 artillery systems

Ukraine's Defence Forces killed 800 more soldiers and destroyed 36 Russian artillery systems and 22 armoured vehicles during the past day.

Details: The total combat losses of Russian troops between 24 February 2022 and 7 January 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 364,730 (+860) military personnel;
• 6,022 (+4) tanks;
• 11,180 (+22) armoured combat vehicles; 
• 8,653 (+36) artillery systems;
• 951 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 637 (+4) air defence systems;
• 329 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 324 (+0) helicopters;
• 6,811 (+24) tactical UAVs;
• 1,786 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 23 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 11,523 (+45) vehicles and tankers;
• 1,327 (+10) special vehicles and other equipment.
