Belarusian secret services assist Russia in capturing suspects in terrorist attack near Moscow on Belarusian border

Belarusian secret services have aided Russia in capturing suspects in the 22 March terrorist attack in Moscow Oblast to prevent the terrorists from sneaking across the border into Belarus.

Source: Belarusian regime-aligned news outlet BelTA, citing Dmitry Krutoi, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia

Details: The Belarusian ambassador noted that the secret services made efforts to close Belarus’ border to the terrorist suspects, who, according to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, were "trying to flee to Ukraine".

Quote from Krutoi: "The [Belarusian and Russian] secret services have been actively cooperating since Friday.

The chief of the [Belarusian] State Security Committee is in direct contact with his [Russian] counterpart.

In fact, the main task last night was to prevent terrorists from crossing our common border.

This task has been accomplished."

Background: Andrii Yusov, spokesman for Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, emphasised that the claims spread by Russia about the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Moscow Oblast supposedly attempting to flee to Ukraine "are entirely devoid of truth".
