Details: Residents of Kyiv heard the sounds of explosions or of the air defence system. Some people have published videos of flares, although the authorities have asked not to publish anything.

Sounds of explosions were also heard near Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region).

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported only that "explosions were heard in the town of Vasylkiv and, according to preliminary information, the air defence system was activated".

Telegram channels reported that part of Kyiv and the region were left without electricity. This was indirectly confirmed by the British organisation NetBlocks, which noted that in the middle of the night Internet activity fell to 85% of normal.

No damage to civilian objects was reported.

A Ukrainian military factory outside Kyiv that produced missiles allegedly used to hit Russia's Moskva warship was partly destroyed by overnight Russian strikes, an AFP journalist at the scene saw Friday.

A workshop and an administrative building at the Vizar plant, in the Kyiv suburb of Vyshneve near the international Zhuliany airport, were seriously damaged.

Around 1:30 am there was an air strike, There were five hits. Around 50 vehicles parked near the plant had their windows blown out.

People believe Russia was taking revenge for the Moskva warship.

In the morning the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Russian military aimed "Calibre" cruise missiles at a machine production plant on the outskirts of Kyiv. The Ukrainian side has not commented on this matter.

Also the Russian Defence Ministry threatened that the scale of missile strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on facilities in Kyiv would increase in response to "attacks or sabotage in Russia".

Earlier, RIA Novosti alleged that the "air defence was working in Belgorod, and at least two anti-missiles were fired at air targets over the city".

The National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine has warned that Russia is ready to carry out terrorist attacks on its own territory in order to accuse Ukrainians of them and give them a free hand.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the Russian military fired on its own village of Klimovo in the Bryansk region of Russia, and Moscow accused Ukraine of the shelling.
