Yermak's Quote: "This is what the fields in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts look like today. Maxar Technologies' photos published in the media have shown the intensity of hostilities, when the ground is littered with craters left by shells]. Heavy fighting continues; the Russians have a lot of equipment and artillery."

Quote: "Ukraine's goal is the liberation of all our territories. This will be a victory for us. I said this at a meeting with G7 ambassadors, and this is our common position."

Details: Yermak stressed that the authorities are doing everything to ensure that the Armed Forces have more weapons, and that the signing of a defence contract with Poland will strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.

New satellite images from Maxar Technologies were taken on 6 June.

They show:

  • artillery explosions along the Seversky Donets river and Bohorodychne;
  • a bomb crater with a diameter of 40 m in Dovhenky;
  • MLRS installations in fields near Sievierodonetsk;
  • towed artillery aimed at Sievierodonetsk;
  • artillery shells exploding near the town of Dolyna;
  • destruction of Rubizhne - these photos show what the city looked like from above on 29 March, and what it became by 6 June.

Recall: The Russian invaders took control of Rubizhne on 13 May, and fighting for Sievierodonetsk is still going on, although the Russians control a large part of the city, which became the administrative centre of Luhansk Oblast after the occupation of Luhansk.
