The Armed Forces of Ukraine again repel assaults near Vuhlehirska power station and Bakhmut – General Staff report

Ukrainian soldiers repelled an assault by Russian troops in the area of the Lysychansk oil refinery and the village of Ivano-Darivka of the Bakhmut district of Donetsk Oblast, as well as in the areas of Klynove–Vershyna and Myronivka–Vuhlehirska power station.

Details: There are no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

On the Sivershchyna front, the Russian occupying forces continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Sumy Oblast and conduct aerial reconnaissance with drones.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russian army launched airstrikes near Verkhnii Saltiv and Rtyshchivka. They carried out artillery fire in the area of Kharkiv, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Rubizhne, Cherkaski Tyshky, Prudianka, Chuhuiv, Udy, Korobochkyne, Zalyman and Malynivka.

Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to advance in the area of Velyki Prokhody–Pytomnyk.

The invaders also carried out aerial reconnaissance with an unmanned aerial vehicle near Slatyne, Rubizhne, Zamulivka and Dementiivka.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian soldiers fired artillery rounds near the settlements of Dolyna, Bohorodychne, Husarivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Nortsivka and Virnopillia. They also conducted aerial reconnaissance near Dmytrivka and Virnopillia. 

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russian forces launched airstrikes in the areas of Serebrianka and Spirne. Artillery shelling was recorded near Siversk, Hryhorivka and Ivano-Darivka. An operational-tactical level drone operated near Rozdolivka and Hryhorivka.

Ukrainian soldiers repulsed an offensive by the occupiers in the area of the Lysychansk oil refinery and Ivano-Darivka. Russian soldiers suffered losses and retreated.

On the Bakhmut front, the Russian occupying forces carried out airstrikes around the settlements of Vershyna, Bilohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Berestove. Artillery fire was recorded not far away from Berestove, Vesele, Vyimka, Vershyna, Novoluhanske, Bakhmut, Zaitseve, Soledar, Rozdolivka and Kurdiumivka. 

The occupiers’ weak assaults in the areas of Klynove–Vershyna and Myronivka–Vuhlehirska power station failed again.

On the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, in order to restrain the actions of Ukrainian troops, the Russian forces carried out airstrikes near Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Solodke and Novoandriivka.

The occupiers fired artillery rounds near the settlements of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Pisky, Zolota Nyva, Mykilske, Zaliznychne, Stepnohirsk, Novoselivka Druha, Vuhledar, Huliaipilske, Novopil and Bilohiria. Operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles were used near Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka and Bilohiria to adjust the artillery fire.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, artillery shelling was recorded around the settlements of Olhyne, Potomkyne, Kniazivka, Shyroke, Ternivka, Luch, Kotliareve, Pervomaiske, Nova Zoria, Dobre and Bila Krynytsia. 

The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to launch a counterattack in the area of Sukhyi Stavok–Andriivka. 

In the Black Sea and Azov sea zones, the Russian forces’ naval group focuses its main efforts on blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. There are two cruise missile carriers outside the bases.

Background: In the morning report of the General Staff, it was also reported that the Russian invaders were storming the Vuhlehirska power station, but the Ukrainian defenders forced the enemy to withdraw.
