Security Service of Ukraine arrest target spotters on the railway in Donetsk region

Ukrainian special services have uncovered target spotters on the railway in Donetsk region, as well as a station manager who was passing on information about the movement of Ukrainian troops to the Russians.

Details: According to the SBU, a group of people had been gathering data on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and adjusting artillery fire on critical infrastructure facilities, including the railway in Donetsk region.
In addition, special services unmasked the manager of one of the local stations of Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia), who was passing on confidential information to the aggressor about the movement of the Defence Forces in the region.
One Russian agent, who had been providing the Russian forces with data on the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was detained by SBU counter-intelligence in Bakhmut. Two more informants were uncovered in the Bakhmut district and near Druzhkivka.
Background:
- On 25 July, law enforcement officers reported that they had uncovered a network of Russian target spotters in Toretsk, Donetsk region.
- Recently, the Security Service detained a Russian intelligence agent who was giving information to the invaders for firing on Zhytomyr Oblast.
