Russia claims oil depot fire in Belgorod started after Ukrainian airstrike

According to Russian media, a fire broke out at the oil depot in the Russian city of Belgorod, close to the Ukrainian border.

Update: Gladkov later announced that there are two victims, both oil depot staff.

He claimed that the fire broke out after an airstrike carried out by 2 Ukrainian military helicopters, which entered Russian territory at low altitude.

Later still, RBK, a Russian government-aligned propagandist news media, published a video of the explosion at the Belgorod oil depot.

Surveillance footage shows several flashes, followed by an explosion.

Earlier: A week ago, Gladkov claimed that a missile launched from the territory of Ukraine exploded on the territory of the Belgorod region. A state of emergency was announced in the two villages of Zhuravlyovka and Nekhoteevka. 180 people were evacuated from these villages to Belgorod. Two days ago, Kremlin-controlled publications reported an explosion on the territory of the military base in Belgorod and claimed that some people have been wounded.
